This list is published, not monitored. An address that opens is not an address that is genuine, and the signed roster entry explains what actually settles that.

Readers treat these as tracking. They are closer to a note somebody wrote.

What it literally says
That the order has moved to a particular stage.
What it actually means
Somebody set that state. States are entered by the vendor or the platform, not observed by any external system.
What it does not mean
That anything has been confirmed independently. A state is a claim with a timestamp, and the absence of a state change is not evidence of a problem.
What to do
Note the delivery window when the order is placed. That date matters far more than any state in between.
If it looks different
A state that moves backwards, or one that changes without any message, is unusual enough to note the date of.
CommonEvery order

Warning signNothing on its own

Why the state rarely changes

Because updating it is manual and a vendor with many orders in flight is not sitting over a dashboard. A state that has not moved in days usually means nobody has touched it, which is different from nothing having happened.

This is the single most common source of unnecessary worry in the whole subject. People refresh a status that was never going to update, invent explanations for the silence, and act on the explanation.

What actually matters

ThingWeight
The delivery windowDecisive. It is the event that makes a dispute appropriate and likely to succeed.
Dates of messagesHigh. This is the record a dispute is decided on.
Whether the vendor answers at allMedium, and only as a change from their own pattern.
The state fieldLow. Somebody typed it.
Do not file earlyFiling a dispute before the window closes is the most common self inflicted mistake here. It is usually dismissed, and the dismissal costs credibility on the resubmission that actually mattered.

When silence stops being ordinary

When the window closes. Not on a feeling, not because a state has not moved, not because a message went unanswered for a day. At that point silence becomes evidence rather than an absence of it, and it is weighed against whoever went quiet.
